POC Knee Pad

POC PR rep Mal Burd put some muscle into it as she struck a hammer on a test subject protected only by an ultralight knee pad.

POC PR rep Mal Burd showed us three exciting new products at Sea Otter starting with the Tectal All Mountain helmet. It features the same POC protection but in a better vented helmet and with a tracking feature to help locate you if you get lost in the woods.

That’s cool, but our favorite from POC is the new VPD knee pad that is incredibly light and flexible. It is so usable that you can leave them on the whole ride, as they’re barely noticeable while climbing. We questioned their protective qualities so Mal got a hammer out and demonstrated on our knee. Press play to see if we can still walk.
