Quad Lock iPhone Bike Mount System

Gear Pro Reviews

Bottom Line
The Quad Lock Deluxe Kit iPhone 4/4S system at $69, is a nice bike mount system for the iPhone, and has all the items required to attach it to your handlebars or stem. The tough polycarbonate case is sleek and thin with easy access to all the buttons, and it provided decent protection, though it’s missing waterproof and dustproof attributes. It was simple to pop the iPhone into the case, but it was a bitch to extract. The Quad Lock system worked well, and as long as you had the case and mount meshed properly, it was a simple interface to use. The Bike Mount PRO was easy to install anywhere on the bike, and the locking collar, Quad Lock interface and the mount worked in synergy to offer a stable and secure platform for the iPhone, no matter how bumpy the trail conditions were. The additional wall mounts were handy, and allowed one to mount the case just about anywhere.

  • Case was easy to snap on and off of Quad Lock

My husband likes this case for riding his bike. He had zagg invisible skin on the phone but couldn’t get the case on with the back protected. Once he removed that the case fit. But like the review says he couldn’t get the case back off. He found the case very slippery and so he used the previously removed invisible skin, cut it down and added it to the back and sides. The case works good, but expensive

Hey Chris, the Rokform doesn’t actually lock on the mount like the Quad Lock does with its dual stage mechanism. If you bumped the Rokform while riding it would fall off and then its bye bye iPhone!

I´m very happy with my Quad Lock Kit. During my purchase I got a 10% promo discount: http://quadlock.refr.cc/DF9PSG8.

I planned to use the case just for rides, but I’m now using it full-time. Customer service has been awesome, too. I skipped over the instructions at first so didn’t realize how to release the case from the bike mount — blue ring on the neck has to be pushed down, a very clever safety mechanism — and broke one of the corners right away. My own fault, but customer service sent me a replacement right away, at no cost. I’m very impressed.

This is a nice case, but looks more like for city biking. If you want real protection combined with best usability, like me for the trail, I recommend considering this mount: http://www.bike2power.com/bikeconsole-iphone-5-waterproof-bicycle-mount.html
Rode it, tried it, and highly recommend it!
