Race Face Turbine Review

Components Pro Reviews

In this day and age of ubiquitious two bolt or single bolt seatposts the Race Face patented seat clamp mechanism is a joy of functional brilliance. Two bolts allow you to adjust horizontal and seat angle adjustment quickly and accurately. The sideways clamp mechanism lets you insert the seat rails and position the seat easily. This seatpost mechanism makes the process of adjusting the seat fast. Once adjusted and tightened the clamp does not slip. The only downside lies in the very same sideways clamping mechanism clamps seat rails from the side. Some seats with oversized rails (many carbon rails are oversized for example) might not fit the Race Face mechanism so be aware of this potential incompatibility. In that case you’d have to go with a seatpost with a more conventional top-clamp mechanism.

The new Turbine post looks like the old Deus XC post. Given how well the RF rail clamp mechanism works this can be nothing but a good thing
