Press and News

April 3, 2010
North Carolina

Topeak-Ergon USA members Eddie and Namrita O’Dea joined forces again to compete in the Warrior Creek 6 hour race in North Carolina. The duo was very happy with the quality of the trail and the race organization. Just under 400 racers participated in just the 2nd year of this event put on by the Brushy Mountain Cycling Club.

Eddie

Both Eddie and Namrita raced on their Rotwild R.R2 full suspension bikes but the hardtail would have also been a good choice for this course. The 12-mile course was taking the faster riders just about one-hour to complete a lap. Eddie took the lead early in the first lap and led the entire field to have the fastest lap time of the day.

Namrita

The duo maintained and increased their lead to finish 23 minutes up on the 2nd place team and take home first place. The Topeak-Ergon duo also finished 8th overall out of all 700+ racers.

Eddie’s next stop will be the Sea Otter Classic and after that, the O’Dea’s will compete in the Cohutta 100 mile race in Tennessee.
