Revealed: Garmin VIRB Action Camera

For mountain biking the POV war can be won and lost with the mounts. Sony and Contour for example have great cameras but the available mounting options were very thin to the GoPro. Here are all the optional mounts available for the Garmin VIRB. It is worth noting that there is a tripod adapter mount so all mounts available for consumer cameras will be useable for the VIRB. They also mentioned the availability with ‘other’ POV mounts, so we’ll assume there will be a GoPro adapter to use with the many GoPro mounts out there.

All the mounts below are optional. In the box, it comes with a flat surface and curved surface tape mounts. Also a ‘popular industry adapter mount’ is included.

Everybody puts Gopro on a pedestal. I have the go pro hero 2 and could never get the same video quality as their promotional videos. It just makes me happy to see other companies getting into this market.
