I don’t think this is as user/dealer friendly as advertised. Mine was installed by the dealer on my brand new mtb. The supposedly sealed system seemed to be leaking from the day I picked it up. Then the push button remote started sticking and eventually stopped working altogether.
It seemed as though they had issues setting it up because there’s no tech/spec literature available to even them from either SRAM or rock shock. Then when they tried to get a replacement there weren’t any available anywhere. When I threatened to return the bike they had a conference call with some big wigs and got one overnighted.
I’m supposed to pick it up this week. If it works we’ll call it a bad apple. But if I have any more problems I’ll have to assume that either the dealer’s mechanics are ill-trained for this product, or SRAM and rock shock have a poor product out there; or worse yet, both may be true.
I will say that when it worked, I loved it!
Did your issue ever get resolved? I have about 4 hours on my remote and it is sticking pretty badly. I was going to look at maybe lubing some of the friction points, but wanted to see what others have found.
