Scapin introduces VYRUS 2010

News

Press Info:

A front XC bike among the range tops of the Scapin catalogue proposed in the 2010 restyling version with brand new chrome plating and technical solutions.

In the Scapin 2010 catalogue, Vyrus is placed just after the Murdok model. It’s a top-of-the-range bike for XC competition.

In the next season model, the astonishing news is the colour range: five different shades that give to the frame an aggressive look with great personality. Painstaking finishing and author’s details will be highlighted by acid green or fire red, in contrast with the matt colour of the exposed carbon fibres, in a play of matt and polished hues that catches the eye.

Even more robust and reliable, from a technical point of view the new Vyrus offers a monocoque frame of carbon fibre 12k with increased steer junction and an important diagonal tube with diversified sections, to face torsional stress in the best way.

The seat clamp is TwinStop, a Scapin patent: studied to clamp in a uniform way both seat tube and seat post, this clamp distributes the tightening torque to guarantee an optimal blocking. In the 2010 version of Vyrus, the Scapin engineers have worked hard on the rear stays, with a slightly new design and a modification of the connector. Finally, the stays are curved and equipped with the ComfortFlexSystem. The CFS, another technology property of Scapin, is an optimization of shapes and sections of the upper fork blades in order to improve the absorption of the ground ruggedness, so as to guarantee more comfort even on the most uneven terrain.

Vyrus has a “slooping” geometry and it is available in the sizes S-M-L-XL. The bike will be mounted with the Shimano groups, from XTR to SLX, and Sram X.X, X.0 and X.9.
