SDCBS Day 2 Photos – Bayliss, Serotta "wood" bike, and how to build a bike for a 7 foot NBA legend

Vintage Masi:

One of the most interesting bikes (if not THE most interesting) was this not-wood wood bike from Serotta ( ). It is actually a full carbon MeiVici, painted (by PPG, no less) to look like wood. The attention to detail in the paint is bar none. It has lacquer dripping marks near the bottom bracket and even a wood knot on the stays.

(that’s carbon master Mike Lopez and Serotta President (and long time industry vet) Stan Mavis in the background)
