SDCBS Day 2 Photos – Bayliss, Serotta "wood" bike, and how to build a bike for a 7 foot NBA legend

What do you do if you have a customer who is interested in a custom bike, but they are 7 foot tall? Well, you build a really, really big bike.

Bill Holland has built just such a bike. This very custom bike is the equivalent of a 70cm frame made with the carbon/ti ExoGrid technology and painted up Deadhead style. In the photo above, Bill’s bike is juxtaposed with the other end of the spectrum… a titanium tri bike made for a woman who is 4’6″.

In fact, the NBA legend himself was at the SDCBS on Saturday. Checking things out and graciously shaking hands and taking pictures with fans.

We have a video interview with Bill Holland and Stan Mavis of Serotta and many other builders yet to come. Stay tuned.
