Team Young Guns Bryson Martin Jr. killed it in his first outing as a Young Guns Rider at the 2010 Sea Otter in Monterey.
Bryson started off the weekend with 1st place in the Junior Expert (cat1) Dual Slalom.
Bryson “dualed” hard at the top of the course through tight bermed turns and over big jumps but was by far the strongest at the bottom of the course which was a long sprint to the finish leaving his competition dusting off.
The Downhill was on Sunday.
Bryson was focused and confident of his fitness on this notoriously “pedally” course.
He was set in his Line choice and had a clean run and another podium for the weekend, finishing barely out of the win in 2nd place..just 02 seconds off first.
Bryson will be getting ready and riding this form in to the upcoming qualifiers and World Cups. His goal is a position to ride World Championships this year for the US Team as a junior in Mont St Anne, Quebec.
Sea Otter was a pretty fine start…
Congrats Bryson!!
The Young Guns home for the event was the BTI booth, the US distributor of Commencal. These guys are great hosts.
Thanks to Commencal, Marzocchi, Shimano, FSA/Gravity, Mavic,Evoc, MRP and SDG. Maxxis and Geax the Young Guns 2010 bikes are sick. Thanks also to Oakley for keeping the team looking good.
