Three Years in a Row SRAM is Unrivaled in Leadville
Wells and Rusch Take the Win
Everything about the Leadville Trail 100 is daunting. The distance, 100 miles through jagged Colorado mountain terrain, is a crushing all-day battle for most riders. The trails are steep, rocky and loose. The elements, including the lung-burning elevation and unpredictable weather above 12,000 feet, are raw. It requires the perfect blend of strength, strategy and flawless bike performance just to finish. And only two, one man and one woman, can win. They are the ultimate XC fighters.
This year SRAM athletes Todd Wells and Rebecca Rusch brought everything they needed, proving themselves untouchable in the thin Rocky Mountain air. Rebecca set a new course record with her third consecutive title, and Todd rode solo to his first men’s victory. Congratulations to both.
