Munich, March 15th, 2011 – CamelBak is now part of the illustrious circle of partners that have taken the step to stand behind the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Tour. With less than three weeks to go until the FMB World Tour kicks of on April 2nd and 3rd with the Vienna Air King, the hydration specialist is thrilled to be part of the Tour which will draw the best riders in the world to the various stops in Europe and North America.
Founded in 1989, CamelBak has achieved a global leading position when it comes to personal hydration gear and accessories. It is the company’s declared mission to continuously reinvent and forever change the way people hydrate and perform while supporting a healthy lifestyle. Massimo Fregonese, director international sales and marketing explains how supporting the FMB World Tour is consistent with CamelBak’s philosophy: “The FMB Association as well as the World Tour was born from an idea and intuition about how to allow the sport and the passion for it to grow, become more visible and more efficient for everybody; CamelBak is supporting this initiative and shares the same emotion and challenges. We not only offer technical products for any sport and lifestyle activities but strive to promote hydration as a healthy habit for improving performance, alertness and concentration and we know how important they are for anyone involved in the sport; whether you are working on a backflip or judging contests or organizing the event.”
The FMBA is happy to have found a partner who shares the association’s values and also aims to further the sport and support those who feel passionate about it. With the beginning of the 2011 World Tour around the corner, the FMBA can look forward to a successful season with several strong and dedicated partners at their side: “We are optimistic about this season and ready to go”, says Tarek Rasouli, Vice President of the association. “We are proud that in only one year the FMB World Tour has developed into the organisation we had envisioned and that athletes as well as fans are getting excited about. In CamelBak we have found a partner who is willing to go all the way with us and let me put it this way; there are definitely golden times ahead. You’ll be hearing more from this particular partner along the World Tour road.”

General information about the FMB World Tour:
The goal of the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Tour is to help develop the sport of Freeride Mountain Biking – which includes: big mountain, slopestyle and dirt jumping – providing athletes and event organizers with a tangible world ranking system and guidelines for course design, judging and safety.
The FMB World Tour is run by the Freeride Mountain Bike Association (FMBA), a non-profit organization following the goal to push the mountain bike freeride sport into a more professional direction and establish it in the world of sports by raising media and public attention. After an internal voting in January 2011, FMBA’s Board of Directors consists of the President: Todd Barber, Vice President: Tarek Rasouli and Principal: Jeremy Roche.
