Munich, March 30th, 2011 – This season, the freeride world is going for gold and the best mountain bike athletes in the world will battle to take home a truly exceptional trophy. From CamelBak comes a golden Better Bottle – yes, actual gold.
A true Champion cannot be crowned with any paltry thing; the World Champion of the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Tour deserves the best there is. That is why the FMB Association (FMBA) together with hydration specialist CamelBak decided to create this special bottle made of gold. The golden Better Bottle will travel to different events throughout the season to inspire athletes and spark their ambition. The golden bottle will have its first public appearance at the Vienna Air King in Austria an April 2nd and 3rd. After that, you will be able to admire it in its glass cage at selected events throughout the FMB World Tour 2011.
At the end of the season, the coveted trophy will surely be able to tell quite a story after attending some of the best events in freeride mountain biking. It remains to be seen who will be able to drink their water from a golden bottle and take home their new prized possession after the World Tour final event at the Red Bull District Ride on September 9th and 10th in Nuremberg, Germany. We will keep you posted on the bottle’s travels and adventures.
