Okay, so technically, it’s not a mountain bike…. but 12 million views?? That’s a lot of views. Nice sound track too. www.dannymacaskill.com
A couple of honorable mentions:
***Favorite non-YouTube Video: Lance Armstrong Wins 2009 Leadville 100

I thought the 2008 video was pretty good with the Wiens/Armstrong duel going down to the wire. The 2009 race might not have been as close, but the video still showcases the ability of mountain biking to have a good “bro” vibe, even during the heat of competition.
(note: I had a chance to meet Superhumanmag.com Editor-in-Chief Butch Peterson at Interbike and I was able to tell him in person what a kick ass vid he has.)

Innovative and fun. The bike slide turn trick is sick.

You didn’t include my favorite one!
Just your usual North Shore ride, usually it’s the tree that leaps out at the rider, but in this case…a nice save.

Up and coming video producer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayuGWGf48mU
The Japanese one – there is a much better copy where they interview him several months later (I say that because he has scars and the wounds have healed). Not that I suggest anyone try this again, but since it broke at the headset I have to think that a newer downhill bike with 1.5 might do better? But the whole thing is lame because mtn bikes are built for a certain speed range and he is outside it. So something is going to fail, part or person.
