This Monday will begin Transandes Challenge 2012.
The small town of Panguipulli, located in southern Chile, is the start point of Transandes Challenge 2012. On Monday 23 at 9:30 am will start the epic mountain bike race of Patagonia.
The streets of the quiet town of Panguipulli will witness of the start of the Transandes Challenge 2012 Mountainbike Race. This competition will be attended by 200 participants from 25 different countries. The riders are already arriving to the place and inmediately have begun the preparation for this competition that includes challenging passage through the most beautiful landscapes of the Patagonian Andes Mountains.
This Sunday 22 shall be the opening ceremony of the race, while on Monday 23th, at 9:30 Am will be the start of this 6 stage’s mountainbike race. On the first stage competitors will ride a distance of 82 kilometers to reach the finish line located at Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve.
This is the fourth version of Transandes Challenge mountain bike race. In this version participants must overcome more than 420 kilometers totals and more than 12,000 meters of total climb. Among the competitors are a select group of renowned riders such as Germans Stefan Sahm, Udo Bolts and Carsten Bresser, the Americans Mary McConneloug, Rebecca Rusch, Michael Broderick, Chris Carmichael and Jason Sager, as well as the duo formed by Chilean Javier Püschel and Argentine Luciano Caraccioli.
Transandes Challenge 2012 will finish next Saturday 28th on the touristic city of Pucón.
