TRESTLE BIKE PARK ANNOUNCES EXPANSION AND HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2011 SUMMER SEASON

Winter Park, COLO., (April 8, 2011) – Winter Park Resort’s Trestle Bike Park announces expansion and new developments for the upcoming 2011 summer season. Plans include trail updates, adding features and jumps for all abilities, three lifts planned to spin in 2011, signing the well-known and respected rider, Ross Schnell, to the Trestle Bike Park team and adding the New Trestle All-Mountain Enduro Race to the summer schedule. With these planned enhancements, 2011 is setting up to be a memorable riding season for guests and staff at Trestle Bike Park.

Featuring 37 miles of downhill trails and over 200 features, the park offers programs for beginners to experts. What sets Trestle Bike Park above other parks is the flow of the professionally designed trail system by our partners, Gravity Logic, a HUGE beginner experience with the wildly successful Trestle 101 lesson program, the largest rental and high-end demo fleet in the United States, camps geared specifically for women and youth, plus more days made available for riding during the summer compared to any other park in Colorado.

As the only resort in the state of Colorado with now three lifts and major expansion soon underway, Trestle Bike Park is the fastest growing park on the continent, giving riders more to look forward to beginning mid-June 2011.

Sneak Peek at What’s New in 2011

Terrain Expansion and Lifts - Downhill riders will find additional features and a massive expansion that puts the Trestle Bike Park master plan one year ahead of schedule! These include banked cruisers, table-top jumps, elevated stunts, and drops to challenge seasoned Trestle riders. Trestle will change the lift structure in 2011, now offering three lifts instead of two: Zephyr Express, Eskimo, and the Gemini Lift (operating Friday through Sunday).

Ross Schnell – In the biking industry, few riders have garnered the recognition and respect as Ross Schnell. Trestle Bike Park is thrilled to have signed Schnell as a sponsored rider. His career highlights include All-Mountain World Champion, Singlespeed World Champion, Super D National Championships Seriew Overall Champ, National Short Track Race Winner, Member of the US National Team, plus countless other titles.

New Trestle All-Mountain Enduro Race – Inspired by the fastest growing events in Europe, the Enduro or All-Mountain format involves multiple stages that take place on mostly downhill, technical and physically demanding terrain. This three day event will feature five stages of ranging from 10-40 minute individual time trial format. Minimum $10,000 cash purse for Pro categories. August 19-21, 2011.

HD Video DVD with Bike Rental – New this season, bike rentals and bike demos will offer an add-on product of renting a downhill mountain bike at Trestle Bike Park Shop with a GoPro Hero Camera attached to the handle bars to capture the entire riding experience. Guests will leave with a DVD in-hand for bragging rights of their day’s adventures.
