TSG to support the FMB World Tour for three consecutive years


Munich, December 20th, 2010 – Today TSG signed a partnership agreement with the Freeride Mountain Bike Association (FMBA) declaring its support of the FMB World Tour for three consecutive years. With this move, the manufacturer of protective gear is happy to expand its horizon from focusing on skating and snow sports and venture further into the world of mountain biking. The partnership is sealed in time before the beginning of the 2011 FMB World Tour, which will kick off with the Vienna Air King in Austria on April 2nd and 3rd.

Preparing for its second season, the FMB World Tour is excited to have found its first committed partner in TSG. This partnership is one important step towards establishing the FMB World Tour as an overarching world series event; a model already established in other comparable action sports, such as the TTR World Snowboard Tour. With TSG at their side, the FMBA aims to help develop the sport of Freeride Mountain Biking by providing athletes and event organizers with a tangible world ranking system and guidelines for course design, judging and safety.



For TSG, the commitment to support the FMB World Tour is the next logical step in their efforts to further support the mountain bike sport. From the start, TSG’s high performance helmets and pads have revolutionized the industry; the brand’s strong commitment to marketing and sponsorship became a role model in the business. For managing director Ruedi Herger, the partnership with the FMBA is a strong signal of commitment to mountain biking: “From the very start we loved the idea and goals of the FMB World Tour, since we are convinced that the mountain bike sport and existing events will profit greatly from a global, structured tour. General information about the FMB World Tour:

The goal of the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Tour is to help develop the sport of Freeride Mountain Biking – which includes: big mountain, slopestyle and dirt jumping – providing athletes and event organizers with a tangible world ranking system and guidelines for course design, judging and safety.

The FMB World Tour is run by the Freeride Mountain Bike Association (FMBA), a non-profit organization following the goal to push the mountain bike freeride sport into a more professional direction and establish it in the world of sports by rasising media and public attention.

After an internal voting in March 2010, FMBA’s Board of Directors consists of the 1st president: Tarek Rasouli, Vice President: Todd Barber und Principal: Jeremy Roche.
