Video: Champéry still rocks!

Here is the latest video from the ShapeRideShoot gang straight from the trails of Champéry. Gaëtan Rey tells us, “Our first video for 2014! A short clip I shot in December in Champéry’s steepness with my friend Julien Fournier and my mate Vincent Tupin.”

Champéry is a Swiss resort famous in the mountain bike scene because it owns one of the steepest tracks which became famous with the amazing run of Dany Hart during 2011 world champs.

It’s just a short clip, but the classic soundtrack from Judas Priest helps get our blood flowin’ just as much as the riding!

Gaëtan explains further, “I spent a few days up there filming with Julien Fournier, one of the locals, and my mate Vincent Tupin in unexpectedly dry terrain for the season in these mountains. This year, winter starts pretty badly with few precipitations and warm temperatures under the sun. We had such a contrast between the sunny areas and the shadows. On one side of the mountain you can ride in the dust with your bike while you can ski at the same elevation on the other.”

Thanks for the quick riding stoke, we look forward to many more!

the music seems to like or not – again a video in which I only get annoyed and yawn . the guys driving in an area that I know – it’s one of the most beautiful Cantonese here in Switzerland – Valais ! I do a lot of holidays in the Valais to biking around – many trails I ride again and again but usually only once a year . see the trails from year to year from getting worse – trails three years ago had difficulty degree S1 – now the trails are mostly S2 – S3. for me it is a disgraceful determine that there are types of mountain bikers that try to funn – but where the nature on ass walks by. it is a shame that these guys have not insightful for nature – but I understand very well their needs. is my desire, not always to push our mountain bike sport in the media as dowhillsport and to promote , we have here which we prescribe regular mountain bikers how and where we are allowed to drive in Switzerland already enough laws – certainly not on trails – for that is forbidden
