Video: Chris Akrigg – The Turning Point

The latest video in the continuing recovery of Chris Akrigg

For those of you who are still unfamiliar with stunter/trials rider/freestyle mountain biker Chris Akrigg, this is an update on Chris’s recovery from falling off a cliff. Literally. To follow him in chronological order, be sure to start with his famous video called A Hill In Spain that was released about a year and a half ago.

After his Hill-In-Spain video, Chris shattered his femur while filming a new video. The accident was very serious and Chris has had a long road back.

About four months ago, Chris gave us all a video update of his progress in his road to recovery video called Step by Step.

Now, a year after the accident Chris says, “One year ago i shattered my leg. The last twelve months have been hard work but i feel like its finally starting to pay off. I’m back on my bike having fun and i’m loving it…”

Not only his Chris back to rockin’ the bike, he is also shown doing quite a bit of rock climbing (with his Mongoose strapped to his back!) The rocky terrain is a great place to showcase both his physical and mental sharpness and one almost breathes a sigh of relief as Chris finally hits dirt at the 3:00 mark.

Congrats on your journey back to full strength, Chris! We at Mtbr are all big fans!
