Video: Miguel Martinez and his FRM 650b/27.5 Winning Bike

27.5 Cross Country

Perhaps the greatest moment at the 2013 Sea Otter Classic transpired when 37-year old Miguel Martinez won the Pro XC race by two seconds. Miguel is a former Olympic champion and World champion in cross country racing but everyone thought he was well past his prime as his last big win was in the Olympic games in 2000. His dramatic and emotional win at the 2013 Sea Otter is captured here in Cyclingdirt’s video.

The reaction between Miguel and his team manager, Mirco Pirazzoli from FRM Bikes is priceless. The partnership was born from their friendship and expectations on race results was admittedly low. But Miguel’s commitment, passion for the sport and love of the classic California race resulted in a huge win for Miguel and FRM Bikes.
