Video: Summit Hunters – Hans Rey and Dan Atherton

Video

Here is a video of Hans Rey and Dan Atherton riding some gnarly (and snowy) trails in the southern French Alps. The scenery is amazing and the amount of snow is incredible. Towards the end of the video we finally get to see the guys enjoy a bit of serious dirt and greenery.

The video is a promotion from VTOPO in France who is publishing the French version of Hans Rey’s life in a book. You can find out more about Hans’s book here : http://vtopo.fr/les-aventures-d-une-vie-sur-un-vtt-25-ans-de-decouverte-a-travers-le-monde.html

Here is the official description of the video as translated by Google from French to English:

“In February 2013, I contacted Hans Rey I do not know. I asked him to make the dedication of a book we publish soon in VTOPO. He gladly accepted and is ready to play professionally. Over the mails, then it is my intention to take over his work he has published in English and traces 25 years of his life on a mountain bike. It is a great honor for us at VTOPO. I offered him a mini trip in the Alps that will seal our business and also help to promote this work. Hans also provides me with Dan Atherton. The idea is great, because these two riders, Hans and Dan are from radically different molds. Hans type of adventurer and Dan built for speed. An interesting mix that will make sense, there, over 3000 m altitude.

Thanks.”
