Winter Park, COLO., June 4, 2010 – Winter Park’s Competition Center announces open on-line registration for the two mountain bike race series, Epic Singletrack Series at Winter Park and Trestle Gravity Series. Riders can test their legs on hill climbs and cross-country courses during seven race dates of Epic Singletrack Series at Winter Park, starting with opening day at Winter Park, June 12. Downhill riders can test their competitive skills in the Trestle Gravity Series beginning July 24. Just announced, Crakworx Colorado registration is also open. Either race or main downhill event of the summer, mountain bikers can experience the thrill of competition at Winter Park.
EPIC SINGLETRACK SERIES AT WINTER PARK
2010 marks the 18th year of the Epic Singletrack Series at Winter Park (formerly Winter Park Mountain Bike Race Series), the largest cross-country series in Colorado. Riders continually return to Winter Park to race on the great courses over the 600+ miles of epic single track in the Winter Park/Fraser Valley, Mountain Bike Capital USA™; and because of friendly race staff and volunteers helping to provide an enjoyable experience for all levels of riders. Oh, and the biggest post-race awards and at least $2000 in raffle prizes after each race help sweeten the deal.
Choose from six categories (pro, expert, sport, beginner, Clydesdale, or single-speed), and our staggered start waves keep you spread out on the course and focused on the competition in your age class and category. TRESTLE GRAVITY SERIES
Trestle Gravity Series is a gravity-specific downhill race series designed for youth, families and new riders, but with plenty of challenge for experienced bike racers in the OPEN division. Riders can pre-register for $50 entry fees, $55 for race day registration fees. Youth racers age 15 & younger can deduct $10 from the listed entry fees. Racers that don’t need lift access can deduct $10 from the listed entry fees. All entry fees include race entry, lift ticket with bike transport, post-race party in the Village at Winter Park, and prize raffle.
Awards will be presented to the top three in the following age categories: 12 & younger, 13-15 years, 16-18 years, 19-29 years, 30-39 years, 40+ years, and Open.Experienced Racers should compete in the OPEN Category. Categories are based on the age riders WILL BE on December 31, 2010.
On-site registration & race plate pickup at the Trestle Bike Shop on race days starting at 9am.

Crankworx Colorado is one of the largest gravity-fueled mountain bike festivals in the United States. As a spectator, activities are FREE*!! During four intense days, guests are awed by some of the world’s best mountain bike athletes battling it out for over $35,000 in prizes. Don’t miss the mountain biking event of the summer. * All base area events do not require tickets (Slopestyle, Dual Slalom and Best Trick). Access to on-mountain races does require lift access. However, all races finish at the base.
