X-Fusion 2014 RV1 Downhill and Metric Freeride Forks

John Hauer and superstar rider Richie Schley from X-Fusion show us two new forks for 2014. The highly anticipated RV1 downhill race fork with 200mm of travel and the Metric 180mm travel freeride fork with a flux piston for a much smoother feel. Both forks also feature carbon fork guards, pressure release valves and high and low speed compresion adjustment.

    I’m a big fan of X-Fusion stuff, I’ve have/had two of their forks. But their availability for after-market purchase is an issue. Their 2013 line-up (i.e. Slant) was originally slated for late September 2012, well still not here. Had to go with another 34mm stanchion fork company, I hope they can get their 2013 and 2014 product out in a timely manner, I for one would like to purchase a Slant. But, competition is only getting steeper…BOS now in the US market aiming at the same market share, at around the same prices as these above mentioned forks. I guess its good for us consumers.

    It’s great to see another manufacturer making high end components. Bigger choice is always better.
