X-Fusion/ Intense Race Report Port Angeles, WA – with VIDEO

X-Fusion/ Intense made the drive north to Port Angeles, WA to race the
2nd round of the fluid ride cup series. It was awesome to have the
full team together at the start of a long season opening road trip. We
arrived in PA on Wednesday and were stoked on the atmosphere of the
small logging town.  Everybody was excited for the first day of
practice on Thursday.

The first few days of practice we had California weather and the
tracks conditions were flawless. We all were enjoying the practice,
but knew the weather report was not very promising going into the
weekend.  Qualifying was on Saturday and it had rained the night
before so the track had developed some slick sections but nothing too
treacherous. Kieran Bennett had a strong qualifying run and seeded
3rd. Ryan Condrashoff was just inside the top 10 and Both Tyler Wilson
and John Hauer were mid pack.

The weather didn’t get much better until Sunday morning before we
raced. Then the sun came out and the track started to dry out a little
more.  Race conditions were pretty dry with a few slick shadowed
sections. The Port Angeles track for the most part had some of the
best dirt we get to race on.

Kieran Bennett was riding strong all week, but during his race run he
lost his front end up top in a woods section and smashed his head
pretty good. The crash destroyed his two day old custom helmet from
Dylan Dean Designs.  Tyler dropped 3 seconds off his Qualifier, John
dropped 10 seconds off his Qualifier but the man of the day was Ryan
Condrashoff. Ryan took 3rd place on the day just .1 of a second off
track local Luke Strobel. Curtis Keene of Sram/ Specialized took the

All and all it was an awesome weekend and we really had fun racing our
first Fluid Ride Cup. The promoters and staff had things dialed all
weekend and we look forward to returning to more of their events. Now

why were the XFusion riders on Manitou and RockShox forks? Are they only a rear shock company?
those jerseys are pretty weak graphics wise…

the riders have good flow. I guess the Xfusion frame shox and intense frames are an awesome combo.

  • Yes, the X-Fusion Intense race team is using other manufacturers forks. The rear shock, however, is our Vector HLR which competes directly against the Fox RC4. X-Fusion does not currently have a downhill fork but we will be developing one very soon.

At this point, we have two forks in our line up -the Velvet and the Vengeance. Look for a more rounded out line by this time next year.

If you check our web site, you will notice that it is currently down. We are just about one week away form going live with the new site. Thanks for your patience!
