Young Guns Gatto and Martin are Golden at Crankworx
Micayla and Bryson Golden at Crankworx
Kokanee Crankworx went off this year in Whistler,BC.
Taking center stage were Commencal/Marzocchi Young Guns, Bryson Martin and Micayla Gatto.
Gatto kicked off the week with a Gold in Dual Slalom taking out favourites Emmeline Ragot and Jill Kintner.
Bryson followed with a stomping victory in the Giant Slalom for junior men.
Both Micayla and Bryson were on the podium again respectively in Pump Track and Air DH.
Bryson was one of the most consistent performers in the overall festival. His performances had him leading the King of Crankworx Competition into the final day. Anything inside the top 50 would have secured the Crown.
Unfortunately for Bryson, he tacoed his front wheel in the first 3rd of the course. In spite of walking to the finish line to complete his run, Bryson was unable to finish in a high enough position to keep the Crown.
Brendan Howey did an awesome job of representing. Missing the slopestyle after injuries sidelined him in qualifying comps.

Brendan raced for Young Guns in Junior Men and delivered really solid results, placing 7th in Dual slalom , 16th in Airdownhill, and 8th in Giant Slalom.
He participated in the CamelBak Jump jam as well.
Here is a little write from Brendan about his crankworx experience.
