The Rocky Mountain Altitude 27.5 was a a runaway hit as it quickly sold out its first production run. Now, they follow it up with ‘Rally Edition’ which follows in the tradition of ‘BC Edition’ versions that Rocky Mountain produces to spec out their bikes for more demanding users.

These guys from the North Shore, BC know what they’re talking about as they don’t just spec bigger tires and wider bars. They go all in and tweak the stem length, rotors size and even the shock rate of the suspension.

Straight out of the box, Altitude Rally Edition bikes are ready for any Enduro start-gate. Featuring premium race-tuned suspension, DH width bars, 1×10 drivetrain, and burlier wheels, Rally Edition bikes are ready to put power down between the tape and smash berm after berm.

    Got this bike in Aug. It kicks ass. All around awesome, it climbs like a hard tail when you flick the thumb lever to climb mode and the 1×10 helps toughen you up. It also feels like a full on downhill bike on descents thanks to the 2.4 tires, the 780 bars and 150 mill Float X rear suspension. The stock stealth post is a huge plus
    I was in looking for a aggressive all around bike that can get me to the top and i can beat the hell out of on the way down.
    I was looking at 4 bikes. This bike and the Bronson. The Yeti 66c and the Pivot 575 had yet to come out with 650B. {The new Pivot 6 i have recently found that the 2.2 tire in the rear is the max size you can put on it.}
    So far i believe i made the right choice. It continues to impress me on all the different terrains i throw at it. { Moab,Arizona,Hurricane and above 12,000 feet in Colorado. then there is the home trails of the foothills of the Canadian Rockies where you have to climb a minimum of 30 min before you get to go down.}
    The only bad things i can say is that the 650B rims have some side flex to them. aggresive cornering makes the rubber hit the chainstays, Its rare but it does happen.
    The WTB seat looks great but not comfortable and the cover has started to detach.
    The Fox remote shifter for the rear CTD needs to be redesigned, i have turned it downwards so that i can use it like a shifter causing the cable to stick straight up ready to grab anything that touches it.
    The Mountain king tires sidewalls are falling apart. The stock tires do not have the reinforced chili rubber compound.
    These are all products that are not Rocky Mountain so this can happen to any bike.
    I give this bike a 9 out of 10. Who am i? Nobody important just a guy that put down a crap ton of cash on a bike that i am so far very happy with.

    I just bought the 750 Rally almost 2 months ago and this is my first full suspension bike. I have been riding a Schwinn Moab hardtail for 17 years and gone down some rough stuff in Arizona. I am now in Florida and it is more of a cross country with small descents. Fun, but I miss long climbs and descents.
    I love the Ride 9 system, I fiddled with it till I found what worked best for me. All of the kit they spec’d the bike with is great! My only disappointment is I have broken the frame and it will not be warrantied because the said it was user error on my part. No one called me from Rocky Mountain, I was told someone would call me from my bike shop, so I am feeling like my side of the story isn’t being heard.
    The bike rode great for the time I had it. The 27.5 wheels were maneuverable and the big 2.5 tires gripped like no tomorrow. Markham park has many rooted areas that can be difficult to climb, but the Altitude Rally didn’t bob like I was worried a full suspension would, and that was when it wasn’t locked out! I love the dropper seat post and the total set up. I am going to try and transfer as much of the kit over to my old bike since I cannot afford the frame repairs.
