Known as “Bulldog” to his friends, Jeremy Kipp has been riding (and sometimes breaking) bikes for the last 15 years. Kipp started his riding career as a downhiller, then progressed to technical all-mountain adventures all over his home state of Colorado and beyond. Along the way, he’s wrenched on bikes for a variety of bike shops, and it’s his roles as a lead MTB mechanic and shop manager that allow him to provide Mtbr readers valuable insight into bikes, components, and riding gear. Kipp also recently launched Ride Local, a guiding outfit that specializes in mountain bike trips all over the world. His favorite trails feature technical, rocky moves on the way up, followed by fast, high alpine descents littered with loose rocks on the way down. Key metrics include a height of 5’6”, weight of 180lbs, and a preference for full suspension bikes with 140-160mm of travel.
