Canyon Launches Two NEW Strive CFR for 2020

Strive CFR models—the same cutting-edge enduro machine that’s helped Canyon Factory Racing earn two consecutive titles as the fastest-overall team.

This morning Canyon Bicycles rolled out new, top-shelf Strive CFR models—the same cutting-edge enduro machine that’s helped Canyon Factory Racing earn two consecutive titles as the fastest-overall team in the Enduro World Series. Pound for pound, and component by component, the new Strive CFRs are the best-equipped enduro bikes on the market. And true to Canyon‘s commitment to democratizing performance, these premier enduro bikes also sport lower price tags than similarly-spec’d models from the competition. Two models, the FOX/Shimano XTR-based Strive CFR 9.0 and the RockShox/SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS-based Strive CFR 9.0 Limited, will be available in all Canyon-served markets outside of the United States. Riders in the United States will be able to bring home the flagship Strive CFR 9.0 Ltd.

Redesigned (in 2019) in partnership with FOX, the Shapeshifter 2.0 allows riders to transform both the Strive’s geometry and suspension travel.

Shapeshifter: Simple and Brilliant

Quick climber, downhill weapon: the Strive is two bikes in one, thanks to its game-changing Shapeshifter technology. Redesigned (in 2019) in partnership with FOX, the Shapeshifter 2.0 allows riders to transform both the Strive’s geometry and suspension travel at the push of a button, with no weight shifts or extra rider effort required. Simply pushing the Shapeshifter’s handlebar-mounted remote changes the rear shock’s orientation, which, in turn, changes the Strive’s bottom bracket height, seat and head angles, suspension travel and pedaling traits. More impressive still, Shapeshifter does all of that simply and reliably—no proprietary rear shock required. Shapeshifter is featured on every Strive model.

Canyon has made a total build weight of 13.3 kg (29.3 pounds) possible on the lightest bike in the range, the Strive CFR 9.0.

Pro Spec’s and Enticing Pricing

Both the Strive CFR 9.0 and CFR 9.0 Ltd. models feature light-yet-bomber, carbon chassis. Thanks to cutting-edge carbon-fiber materials and construction techniques, Canyon has made a total build weight of 13.3 kg (29.3 pounds) possible on the lightest bike in the range, the Strive CFR 9.0 (size M). With FOX Factory 170/150 mm suspension, Shimano XTR shifting and brakes, and DT Swiss EXC carbon wheels, it’s one of the lightest full-suspension enduro bikes on the market. The flagship model is the 14.2-kg (31.3-pound) Strive CFR 9.0 Ltd., with top-end 170/150-mm RockShox suspension, SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS groupset, Reverb AXS dropper post, SRAM Code RSC brakes, and ZIPP 3Zero Moto carbon wheels with the latest TyreWiz air pressure monitoring tech.

Pricing and availability

Both the Strive CFR 9.0 (€5,799) and Strive CFR 9.0 Ltd (€9,000) are available on canyon.com in all Canyon-served markets outside the United States, beginning Tuesday, February 4th. Riders in the United States will be able to purchase the top-rung Strive CFR 9.0 Ltd. ($9,249) on canyon.com that same day.
