Featured Photos: Live From the Trail

With the vast improvements in the quality of the camera that is built-in to most smart phones these days, it’s now easier than ever to post photos to Mtbr live and direct from the trail! Mtbr forum member “slide mon” started a thread for just this purpose in our Norcal forum June of last year and it’s still going strong! The requirements of the thread are as slide mon states, “This thread is *only* for photos posted from the trail! Don’t even think about taking photos with your $5K SLR,*editing*them up nice and pretty with photoshop when you get home and trying to pass them off in this thread! ”

With that said, here are some photo highlights. Remember, the point here isn’t how great each photo looks, how sharp it is or how well it’s composed (although several of these do have amazing quality and composition). The point is that each picture was taken directly from the ride, while the adrenalin is still flowing and the “trail-buzz” is still fresh! The fact that the photos can be shared with our online community in real-time is the icing!
