Not all of us are lucky enough to live within pedaling proximity to singletrack. Even when we can ride to our favorite trails, variety, being the spice of life, motivates many mountain bikers to hit the road in search of new and exciting places to ride. Moab, Whistler, wherever you like to ride, you’re probably also thinking about how you’re going to get you and your bike there.

There’s a great thread in our Cars and Bike Rack forum about the vehicles mountain bikers use to get themselves and their bikes from point A and to point B. Some of these rigs clearly cost thousands of dollars less than the bikes that are strapped to them, while others are as pimped out as the bikes they carry.
