Monterey, CA February 15, 2012 - Light and Motion, the industry leader in LED bicycle-light innovation returns to Kona Bike's 24 Hour of Old Pueblo with a slate of sponsored riders gunning for the podium in largest 24 Hour race.

Mountain Bikers from around the world are heading to Tucson, Arizona this weekend to participate in the 13th annual Kona Bike's 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo at Willow Springs Ranch. With over 3,500 participants, this is one of the largest 24-Hour events in the world.

Solo and team riders will set out en masse with a Le Mans start at noon and ride a 16.1 mile Sonoran Desert course continuously for 24 hours. Since half the race is conducted at night, riding with bright, reliable lights gives riders an extra advantage. Light & Motion sponsors over 30 professional teams with high-performance lights competing in cycling, endurance, and adventure races world wide.

This year Light & Motion returns with a powerful slate of riders to challenge the competition. Riding on the 5-person Coed Team is MTB Endurance and Single Speed Champion, Dax Massey with veteran endurance race team mates Zeke Hersh, Kelly Boniface, Nathan Miller, and Kyle Stamp. "The participation, enthusiasm, venue combine to make OP a must do for any 24 hour enthusiast. By rolling with Seca 1400's, team Light and Motion is looking for night laps as fast as day laps." - Dax Massey.

Cyril Jay-Rayon, a long time Light & Motion athlete and captain of the DART Adventure Racing Team, is returning to his first love - mountain biking - and will compete in the solo division. Riding for Light & Motion in the Women's Solo Division is Elizabeth Sugar Boese.

Other Light & Motion sponsored athletes competing in this year's race include three-time Women's Solo world champion Rebecca Rusch riding with Hall of Famer Nat Ross on the Queen & King of Pain Mixed Duo Team, The Stan's NoTubes Women's Elite Team in the 4-person Women's Team, and Champion Adventure Racer and Seven Summit Climber, Paul Romero riding in the Men's Duo.
