Nothing to modify because Trailcraft has made it super light and built correctly right out of the box for you. Trailcraft created the ultimate trail shredding machine with its new Maxwell 26. Dominate the trails going both down and up with this fantastic bike – the name Maxwell comes from Maxwell trail in Fort Collins, Colorado, where Trailcraft employees love to ride. It’s a super technical, steep, and rocky trail, but the reward down is so lovely. It can be done on a hardtail, but it is so much more fun on a full-suspension bike! If your local riding area requires climbing for the excellent stuff going back down, then the Maxwell 26 is your next bike.

Skills training and park fun

Now we all understand that cycling is a sport best accompanied by sunlight and a cool breeze but when that’s not coming for a few months at least the best bet is an indoor bike park. These places are just what the Dr. ordered to get your kiddos rolling happily on their new gear and tired enough to sleep on the way home. These parks are all over the USA and Canada – look for one close to you!

Indoor Bike Park Season Pass

During the winter finding time to ride outdoors can be rough, especially if you’re a kid. Don’t put that bike away though, you can ride all year round at an indoor bike park. For most, these indoor riding oases will never take the place of any outdoor trail, but in times of the snowpocalypse, you can always find a dry trail indoors.

The Wheel Mill of Pittsburgh PA, for example, is the brainchild of Harry Geyer and was built through careful collaborative efforts, by local volunteers alongside legendary trail builders, and as organically as possible. In fact, 75% of the park was assembled with reclaimed lumbar and other scrapped material. Opened Spring of 2013, The Wheel Mill has since prided itself as a cycling hub for Pittsburgh, providing space for all ages and skill levels, events, clinics, and some serious thrashing.

Prices range from $100-$250 depending on location

Look for a mountain bike park around you and snag a season pass:
