Poll: Help Mtbr Pick the Next Trek Test Bike

29er All Mountain Trail

Trek wants to send us a test bike, but to mix things up, they gave us the Trek Project One URL and said “Create your own test bike!” Ok, that could be a blessing or a curse, because now we have to choose between a million bike configurations and color options.

So we want a Remedy 29, but that’s not available on Project One yet, so Fuel 29 it is. And we know we want XX1 as the single front chainring setup, since it is just about the coolest component we’ve tried this year. SRAM dropper post and Shimano brakes and we are halfway there.

But what about color? We played with the Project One Configurator and came up with a few schemes. We’d like to solicit your help in selecting the color combo for our next test bike. And if you have some other wild ideas, take a moment to try out a few colors, save the bike and put up the link here by replying.

Here’s our candidates so far:

#1 – Blue and Orange

#2 – Black and Red

#3 – White and Orange

#4 – Green and Violet

#5 – Orange and White

Please reply in the comments with your color choice for our test bike.

If you’d like a shot at designing our test bike, Go HERE and color the bike.

To send us the bike you’ve designed, you need to register in Project One and store the bike in your ‘Bike Rack’. It will then have it’s own url that you can email to us at [email protected] or post the URL in the comments section. If we choose your bike, we’ll send you an Osprey pack worth $100.

And if you want to win a Project One Bike of your own worth up to $8000, Enter our Project One Contest Here.
