Review: Xeccon Sogn 700 – 2800 Lumen Bike Light

Lights Lights Shootout

The Sogn 700 is a powerful light from Xeccon that features two banks of 3-LED lenses. Construction is aluminum with an outer case that is vented to reveal heat sinking inside.

The battery is a big unit that weighs about 500 grams and is encased in hard plastic. There is an external switch as well, which is typical of all Xeccon products.

It is a big light at 658 grams, but it’s good to see a huge beam pattern from this light. It throws far and wide and that’s a good thing with this many Lumens.

The location is useful since it has walls and a ceiling that can display a bike light beam pattern. The walls have a lot of graffiti on them and actually show detail when they are lit up by a light with a wide angle. Cones and targets are set up with the far target set up at 120 feet.
