Salsa Cycles recently released a pair of teaser videos on their social media channels that might point to the release of one or more new mountain bikes.

The videos are just five and seven seconds long and appear to show either one or more new longer-travel mountain bikes. One bike per video or two videos for one bike? We can’t be sure.

The clevis-driven suspension layout isn’t new, but the Fox Float X2 air shock points to a much longer-travel bike than is currently in the Salsa line.

Interesting tech we can gather from freeze frames includes an upper link using a clevis link that’s similar to the current layout of the brand’s Split-Pivot suspension, but it looks to be driving a Fox Float X2 shock.

Another capture shows what looks to be either a Fox 36 or 38 fork.

The compression adjustment knob looks like a Fox 36 or possibly even a 38 fork.

A third freeze-frame appears to show some sort of plastic storage compartment or a rubberized protector on the front shock link—possibly a SWAT-style cargo box or an integrated cargo mount?

Built-in storage or a spot for cargo? That would be on-trend for this adventure-by-bike brand.

If this is one or more long-travel trail or enduro bikes, it will be a significant departure from the short and mid-travel endurance and bikepacking models the company has focused on.

Salsa appears to be using #ForTheLoveOfDirt as the hashtag for this product teaser. We’re excited to see what’s next.

Whatever new bike this is. It’s very, very purple.
