Video: Cell phone driving motorist crashes car after telling cyclist he’s safe

Karma gonna get you.

Video

Do you feel unsafe when cycling on the streets on your commute or on your way to the trail? It seems awareness about cyclists went up a few years ago and cycling on roads had an improving safety outlook. But the proliferation of cell phones seems to have changed that.

Now, many drivers are texting and worse, using apps when driving. They use it when stopped on lights, in stop and go traffic and while zooming along on streets.

Watch this driver in Scotland drive in a crowded street where cyclists have to merge in with the traffic. Neither the stop and go traffic nor the wet weather is enough to deter the driver who is convinced he is safe.

Here is the full video of the incident.
