Video: Fox Riders Cam McCaul and Kirt Voreis throw down in new trail shredit

Fox Kirt and Cam

Kirt Voreis’ target=”_blank”>stint in New World Disorder X in which he rips trail with only the crunch of tires, the whirr of his freewheel and an occasional brake squeal for a soundtrack is perhaps the most awesomely Zen video segment of all time. The target=”_blank”>YouTube clip of Cam McCaul and his dad taking back a stolen bike from a thief is karmic justice of the highest level. So it’s not a surprise that when Fox apparel put some new threads on the pair and turned on the cameras the resulting edit has a certain cosmically cool quality to it.

Though Voreis and his Specialized 29er lead most of the way, it’s McCaul on his 26-inch Trek that has the last laugh.

About the author: Don Palermini

Chicago-born Don Palermini became a cycling-based life-form in the sixth grade after completing a family road bike tour of his home state. Three years later he bought his first mountain bike to help mitigate the city's pothole-strewn streets, and began exploring the region's unpaved roads and trails. Those rides sparked a much larger journey which includes all manner of bike racing, commuting, on- and off-road bike advocacy, and a 20-plus-year marketing career in the cycling industry that landed him at his current gig with Santa Cruz bicycles. Now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, his four favorite words in the English language are "breakfast served all day," together in that order.
