News Video

Do you have a trail obstacle that’s like a monkey on your back? A log, a climb, a rocky/rooty segment that is not quite doable for you without dabbing? Well, Jeff has a gorilla on his mind and it is the Horsethief descent. Even at the peak of his trials abilities in the last decade, he has not come close to no-dabbing the climb.

In every great quest, there is a plan

With the climb gnawing at his existence (we’re not sure why) he’s planned and schemed to succeed at no-dabbing the climb. He’s had to plan every move and improve not only his skill set but also his fitness and stamina. Watch the man and his quest.

Huge steps had to be traversed

A few weeks ago Jeff Lenosky traveled to Fruita Colorado for his FOURTH attempt at climbing Horse Thief Drop. For the last 11 years, Jeff has considered this the crown jewel of technical climbs. It definitely took WAY more hopping than desired but this was the only way to get up this iconic trail. Check it out.

Not a closed course so trail users cooperated with no issues.

And finally, success? What is the monkey on your back you want to conquer on your local trails?
