Components Sea Otter Classic Video

Shimano Europe Product Coordinator Bas Von Dooren takes a few minutes out of his day at Sea Otter to walk us through the features and benefits of the new Shimano XTR group set, offering an in-depth look at the rider-tuned concepts Shimano has integrated into their latest release. The just-launched XTR group set features multiple configurations and is designed to meet the widest variety of rider needs.

Learn it all as Von Dooren covers the 11-40 11-speed cassette, walks us through the XTR’s multiple crank and chainring configurations, Shimano’s new Shadow Plus RD shifting technologies, new side-swing front derailleur and finishes up with an explanation of the SIL-TEC coated, XTR-specific chain.

I’m still wanting an XTR 11-40 10spd Cassette. 11 speed is here to stay. I know but if you think logically, 11 speed will always be “Spinal Tap”. 11 speed was never necessary or beneficial.
