Former world cup downhiller and current pro enduro racer and Transition Bikes employee Lars Sternberg stars in this high fun-factor product stoke video from FOX, featuring their 2015 FLOAT 36 suspension fork. Sternberg puts the fork through the paces in some seriously sweet “chocolate cake” conditions on trails near Bellingham, Wash.

In a play on FOX’s motocross roots, the edit includes some motorcycle sound effects, which—admit it—most of us have made ourselves at one time or another. Soundtrack aside, Sternberg simply rips

About the author: Don Palermini

Chicago-born Don Palermini became a cycling-based life-form in the sixth grade after completing a family road bike tour of his home state. Three years later he bought his first mountain bike to help mitigate the city's pothole-strewn streets, and began exploring the region's unpaved roads and trails. Those rides sparked a much larger journey which includes all manner of bike racing, commuting, on- and off-road bike advocacy, and a 20-plus-year marketing career in the cycling industry that landed him at his current gig with Santa Cruz bicycles. Now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, his four favorite words in the English language are "breakfast served all day," together in that order.

    Worst sound effects ever.

Mountain Biking is getting back into the woods and being able to commune with nature. We fight the image that we don’t destroy the environment like a motorized vehicle does. This video dispels all that is good about MTB with its sound track and motocross motor affects and you loose track of how beautiful the woods and trail system are because you have the image of a powerful rear tire just tearing into the terrain and leaving a mighty roost of torn up loam, roots and rocks in its wake..
